The Koelvers Groep, fresh partner of the Sligro Food Group, produces meals, meal components and soups. Every day, the Koelvers Groep produces and distributes some 15,000 meals.
In spite of the large production quantities, they are nevertheless compact and flexible. Although the Koelvers Groep is a young organisation, it has more than 50 years of experience at its disposal.

The Koelvers Groep delivers for specific tastes. The ingredients used are fresh and sourced from carefully selected suppliers. Everything in the company’s modern bulk kitchens is geared to hygiene and constant high quality.
In recent years, the Koelvers Groep has undergone considerable expansion. This necessitated the purchase of a new, large-scale kitchen washing system. The two old washing systems had a joint capacity of approx. 600 crates per hour.

With a single new industrial system, the Koelvers Groep wanted to achieve a maximum capacity of 700 crates per hour. In addition, the new system had to comply with a number of specific requirements:

• Flexibility in connection with the great diversity of products (crates, gastronomic trays, buckets, lids, measuring beakers and utensils)
• Products dry as quickly as possible
• Fast resetting times
• Simple operation
• High quality
• Problem-solving capacity and creativity of the supplier

Numafa CL was selected to deliver this cleaning system. Numafa had previously supplied washing systems for Sligro Veghel and Sligro Amsterdam (Inversco).

The washing machine for the Koelvers Groep consists of pre-wash, main wash and clean rinse sections. Behind the washing system, an airblow section was placed for blow-drying most of the residual moisture. Thanks to the combination with heated rinsing, the crates are now almost completely dry when they emerge from the airblow section.

To ensure the minimum actions, an automatic height-adjustment system is incorporated, greatly increasing the machine’s flexibility. The system can now adopt seven different positions. In addition, the machine has a rotating drum sieve in the pre-wash section for filtration.
This system independently spins the large waste out. This means all that is then needed is the general clean at the end of the day, thus saving a great deal of time.

The new Numafa washing system assures Koelvers Groep of many years of trouble-free cleaning, with the greatest possible flexibility.
