Handling

Bakery crates are often stacked on dollies for transport. Upon their arrival at the washing location, the crates are automatically carried from the dollies and led to the crate de-stacker via a conveyor belt. Depending upon the degree of pollution, Numafa provides advice on the cleaning process; pre-soak or not, pre-wash or not, number of sprinklers, pressure per product, type of cleaning agent, temperature, the duration of the process and the manner in which the product can best be dried.

Once cleaned and dried, the crates are automatically stacked and formed, after which they are placed back on the – perhaps also cleaned – dollies. The crates are now ready to be refilled once again. The washing installation offers dozens of options, such as high pressure cleaning for the removal of stickers and labels, water filtration for the recycling of water or cleaner drainage water, various types of water heating, various drying methods et cetera. All of these are options that enable one to save energy and therefore costs.
