A result that proves itself every single day at Plukon Food Group

Plukon Food Group is one of the largest poultry processors in Europe. Operating from its headquarters in Wezep, Plukon runs 40 locations across seven European countries and employs over 11,000 people. The product range includes poultry, ready-made meals, salads, meal components and alternative proteins supplied to leading retail partners and foodservice clients throughout Europe.

At Plukon Food Group, efficiency and continuity are central to the production process. In a sector where hygiene, speed and reliability are crucial, it is essential that installations perform optimally and operate without interruption. With these requirements in mind, Plukon set out to find a partner for container cleaning and came into contact with Numafa and the CWM-go container washer. The machine is now operational on site. According to Rico Lansink, Project Manager at Plukon, the choice has proven itself in day-to-day practice on the production floor.

‘We are very satisfied with the washing results.” Rico Lansink, Project Manager at Plukon Food Group

From first contact to installation

A good collaboration starts with personal contact. From the first conversation with Marnick van der Veen, Account Manager CTO at Numafa, through to the on-site installation, communication was clear and lines were short. Towards the end of the project, the process was occasionally less straightforward than expected, requiring some additional coordination at certain points. Nevertheless, we are satisfied with the collaboration as a whole. The short lines of communication and personal contact ensured that we ultimately achieved a good result.

For Plukon, it was important to find a reliable partner that thinks along and keeps its commitments. That personal contact built trust in the collaboration from the very beginning.

Results on the production floor

What ultimately matters is how the machine performs in practice. The CWM-go is driven in at floor level, locked into place and started with the press of a button, after which the washing process runs automatically. That simplicity is also noticed by the colleagues who work with it every day. Initially, employees on the shop floor needed some time to get used to the new machine and the new way of working as is often the case when a new installation is introduced. Now that the machine has been in use for some time, colleagues are very satisfied. The washing results in particular are rated positively; containers come out clean and consistent, contributing to a more pleasant and efficient working process.

Contact also remains pleasant after installation. Should anything be needed, Plukon knows how to reach Numafa quickly for service and support. Short lines of communication and commitments that are kept give the confidence that the installation will continue to run reliably.

‘The machine works well and is very easy to operate for everyone.’ Rico Lansink, Project Manager at Plukon Food

Clean results with sustainability in mind

In addition to the clean washing results that Plukon is satisfied with, the machine aligns with the desire to use water and energy consciously. Thanks to the reuse of washing water, consumption remains limited contributing not only to a clean result but also to more sustainable operations.

A collaboration built on trust

The combination of personal contact, short lines of communication and a machine that delivers on the shop floor makes the collaboration between Plukon and Numafa valuable. A collaboration built on trust, and a strong foundation for the future.
